Happy Veteran's Day

Today is Veteran's day with is for all the men and women in the United States who have served in the military.  In my family there is my grandfather, Arthur Schimmel, and my uncle, Dino Schimmel. As part of their family they make me super proud of them just knowing that they protected out country in many way. There are many other people in my friends that have served as well. I know that being in the military takes a toll not only on the service member themselves but their family as well. Below are some ideas that you can do to celebrate today!

  1. Make a care package for members over seas.
  2. Recognize veterans at your place of work.
  3. Visit a local memorial in your area.
  4. Thank a service member.
  5. Find a creative way to teach young children about the holiday and it's importance.
  6. Visit a VA hospital.

These are just a few ways that you can help celebrate veteran's day in your area, home and school!

Get to know me :)

New things and reasoning.      Hi... I realized that I wanted to give the blog a whole new way of what I write about and what I do. I used to do random here and there post but now I want to focus on book reviews as well as things that I do with my bullet journal to help others understand bullet journaling. Get to know me.       Well if your new here let me tell you about myself. I'm from Kansas and I have 2 beautiful children. I'm currently engaged to the person who is not only my other half but my soulmate. I graduated from college in 2023 with a degree in Mass Media. What is Mass Media you ask? Well it's everything that is around you. It's movies, television, books, blogs, advertising, and so much more. I originally went to school for nursing but I took one class and that's when I found my calling in Mass Media. In that class I was able to be creative and be myself. I was able to let my emotions out in ways that I always did just be able to fi...

Book Review Thursday - The Highland Kiss

Title: The Highland Kiss By: Amy McGavin Theme: Romance Plot: Emily gets stood up at the altar and take a month vacation away from London to a small-town in the Scottish Highlands called Bannock. While on her vacation, she ends up not only finding love with Ally but finds out her passion and herself all again. Thoughts: I absolutely loved this book. The relationship between Ally and Emily makes me think about how the relationship is between my fiancĂ© and myself. The banter between all the characters and the description of the scenery make me feel like I am there with the characters!  Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐ I only took a half a start away from the rating because it took me a little bit to get into the reading and fully immerse myself into the book.

Bullet Journal - January

Like I said in my previous post I talked about my bullet journal, bujo for short. I wanted to share with you what my monthly spread as well as a few yearly spreads that I have completed. Monthly Spread: This is just the Title page for January. It's kind of just plain but doesn't mean I won't put more things on there later on or find inspiration for next years. Obviously every bujo has to have a monthly calendar which I like because I can put all of the dates that I have to have in my phone calendar on this calendar. It helps me have that organization all in one book. So obviously I wanted to see what days of the month I was happy compared to sad and then with my health and fitness goals I wanted to keep track of my water intake. I know I have an apple watch that tracks all of my sleep but I think being able to do something that I can physically watch to see what days I get the most sleep. I take medications and vitamins but I want to make sure that I can keep track of the d...
